PUBLIC INDEPENDENT CONCILIATORS GAIN UK EXPERIENCE
The Public Independent Conciliator for the Nort-West Region, Mr. Tamfu Simon Fai recently visited the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to learn from their half century experience in using Ombudsman services.
Mr. Tamfu Simon was member of a team of three Cameroonians including his counterpart for the South-West Region, Mrs. Telelen Dorothy Atabong epse Motaze and Mr. Mbua Isaac Embola, Director of Follow-up and Management in the Ministry of Decentralisation and Local Development.
Invited by Her Majesty’s Government, the team engaged with heads of divers public institutions involved in transparent and sustainable management of issues between local administrative actors and their users.
During their week-long stay in the UK in mid-March, interactions established that the Public Independent Conciliators in Cameroon would gain public trust by Setting Standards notably by building strength and collaborative professionalism via values such as accountability, integrity, transparency, empathy and compassion.
