PIC LAUNCHES ACTIVITIES
The Public Independent Conciliator PIC for the Northwest is now operating fully in its premises near the Magistrate’s Court Bamenda Station. This follows the formal launch of its activities on Wednesday in the presence of Northwest Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique in his capacity as the Representative of the State in the Region and the President of the Northwest Regional Assembly Prof. Fru F. Angwafo III. Mayors or their representatives as well as the Bamenda City Council also witnessed the occasion.
In his opening statement, the Public Independent Conciliator for the Northwest Region Mr. Tamfu Simon Fai presented his services as a new creation within the context of decentralization in Cameroon to act as Ombudsman between regional and local council administrations on the one hand, and on the other hand, the users and beneficiaries of their services. He underscored their core values, emphasizing that the PIC proposes and abides by amicable settlement of disputes brought to its attention.
Flanked by the PIC and the President of the Regional Assembly, the Representative of the State in the Northwest Region, Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique cut the symbolic tricolor ribbon before visiting the offices.
