PIC pays outreach visit to Santa Council

The Office of the Public Independent Conciliator North-West Region recently conducted an outreach sensitization exercise in Santa Council, aiming to educate the population about the office’s creation, organization, and functioning, as well as the role of citizens in participating and embracing council actions in communities.




The sensitization outreach involved experts from the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator, accompanied by some members of the Regional Executive Council of the North-West Regional Assembly.
Attendees learned about:
1. the missions and functioning of the Regional Assembly and local councils,
2. the importance of civil status documents,
3. the importance of leaving no one behind in local governance and development, and
4. the significance of local revenue collection for municipal development.



The outreach to Santa ended with a question and answer session, providing clarity on the functioning of the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator of the North-West Region and the North-West Regional Assembly, aiming to promote citizens’ participation in local development.
