YANG TO NW: DEFINE AND OWN SPECIAL STATUS
Former Prime Minister Philemon Yang has entreated the people of the North West Region to collectively define the content of their Special Status.
Speaking in Bamenda on Monday 7/11/2022 to the Region’s elite from across Cameroon during an Information Seminar, he thanked and praised the Office of the Public Independent Conciliator for their success in overcoming prevailing challenges of the times to reach the population in record time.
The Statesman said he was proud of Pioneer Public Independent Conciliator (PIC), Mr. Tamfu Simon Fai, for his dynamism, courage, foresight and resolve to carry on. He encouraged the PIC and his team to be tenacious in their work.
During the seminar attended by over one hundred participants drawn from diverse walks of life and opinion leaders of various vocations, the PIC Mr. Tamfu Simon Fai, the Research Officer Mr. NDI Nelson Ngayinkfu, and PIC Staffman Barrister Yang Francis Fombi, respectively on Creation, Miss Simon’s and Functioning of the Office of the PIC; Substantive Mandates of the PIC and The Complaint Management Mechanism and the Conciliatory Process. The elite were edified on the positive role they should play within the context of the Special Status which the people themselves should appropriate and define rather than envying examples of it elsewhere that cannot be imported and planted successfully in the North West Region which is endowed with its own uniqueness.
An interaction session closed the seminar which was also attended by North West Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique accompanied by his High Command Staff, members of the North West Regional Executive Council led by its President Prof. Fru Fobuzshi Angwafo III.
