Cameroon Public Independent Conciliators benchmark, share knowledge with Office of City Ombudsman Cape Town
The City Ombudsman of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa represented by its Senior Investigating Officer, Sergio Daniels is currently benchmarking and sharing knowledge/experiences with staff of the Offices of the Public Independent Conciliator in Cameroon.
The benchmarking workshop underway in Douala offers an opportunity for the Offices of the Public Independent Conciliator North-West and South-West Region, to compare notes with the City Ombudsman of Cape Town’s Senior Investigating Officer, Sergio Daniels.
Sergio has an extensive background in local government administration. He is knowledgeable in public policy, information analysis, arbitration, and negotiation.
Sergio Daniels has had the opportunity to learn about the Offices of the Public Independent Conciliator of Cameroon’s North-West and South-West regions.
He has been put up to speed with the legal framework, creation, mission and mandates, organization, resources, and functioning of Cameroon’s Public Independent Conciliators.
The resource person from Cape Town also shared information about the structure and functioning of the Ombudsman Office in Cape Town and areas of intervention relating this to the different challenging situations faced by staff in the Offices of the Public Independent Conciliator in Cameroon.
The staff of the Offices of the Public Independent Conciliator are sharing their experiences in the complaint management mechanism processes and seek to gain from the experiences of the Ombudsman Office in Cape Town.
