Municipal Decisions Signed by Some Mayors for the Free Establishment of Civil Status Document
The Office of the Public Independent Conciliator North-West Region issued a communique on 9th January 2024, calling on the attention of mayors in the region to refrain from extorting money from citizens for the issuance of Civil Status Documents.
Some mayors in the North-West Region are yielding to this call through signed Municipal Decisions to authorize the free issuance of these documents in their Municipalities.
A total number of eight communiques have been signed by mayors in the North-West Region for the Free Issuance of Civil Status Documents in their municipalities. The Public Independent Conciliator for the North-West Region, TAMFU Simon FAI is calling on other mayors in the North-West Region who have not done so, to do same.
