Public Independent Conciliator On The Field
The Public Independent Conciliator for the North-West Region, Mr. Tamfu Simon Fai has been visiting some councils in the region. On Friday 15/07/2022, he successively visited Bamenda 1, Balikumbat and Andek councils. The P.I.C told the mayors or their deputies that he was on the field to personally discover their working environment and appraise their daily functioning. He said his findings would help indicate to what extent they had made use of the lessons they learned during the information and education seminar that P.I.C organized for them on the occasion of the official launch of its activities in January 2022.
All the mayors said they were happy with the unannounced visit which they saw as openness for collaboration for general interest. All of them said the January 2022 had been helpful as they believe that their services to users and beneficiaries are steadily improving. They pleaded for more seminars and visits for capacity building.
The North-West Public Independent Conciliator reassured the mayors of his availability and willingness to work with them to improve the quality of their services to their communities to ensure sustainable democracy, peace and development
The PIC called for good governance and greater collaboration between the councils and the pioneer institution for the benefit of the beneficiary populations of the North West region
